Thailand Day 7 – 50/50 Partner, “Jesse Pinkman”

Day 7 – 6th October 2018

Ban Rai Kao to Prachuap Khiri Khan

Started off the day with lightening the load on my bike as we have been arguing over weight issues.. my bike with its components, weighs probably 3 times Manal’s !!! I thought this was a 50-50 partnership deal – sort of like Jesse Pinkman and Walter White, little did I know it really isn’t the case 🙂 I have so much stuff in my bag along with all the tools, bike accessories, bike pump, computer, etc…

Today was the opposite of yesterday; in that we decided to get on the road amidst the pouring rain. The phone apps we have projected heavy rain all day and didn’t really want another night in Ban Rai. We took off and had a very wet 20 km’s then the day got amazing!!!!

We ran across a bunch of cows – always lots of fun 🙂

We can across this great waterfall in this little town where we sat for a bit and watched the world go by with this older Thai couple.

As we entered the city of Prachuap; it was clear very early that this was the prettiest town we had seen thus far. As we started seeing the gulf of Thailand our spirits were immediately lifted with the breeze, the water color, the fishing boats, the beautiful town coast line along the beach (crescent beach).

Shortly after, we were greeted by monkeys of all ages hanging out on the coast. They were not aggressive at all compared others we had encountered in Cameroun, Ghana and other places.

As we got to town, there was a festival down the main drag with loads of awesome looking seafood restaurants that we took advantage of later than evening.

We rented another motorcycle and ran around town. Got a great dinner (fish, shrimp, calamari (2 types), clams and shells). We got lots of fruit from the festival along with chicken wings late at night which were better than the Bangkok ones!! I ended up getting a haircut and on the way to the hotel we found a Thai Takraw (volleyball / football) field. The guys playing I think would beat Ronaldinho and Zidane in their prime…. They were incredible.

This place by far is our favorite place thus far…..we will definitely come back here.
