Thailand Day 19 – Swimming Hole

Day 19 – 18th October 2018

Surat to Ao Loek Tai

Waking up while we hadn’t realized the hotel situation at night; this place offered a large covering for the guest’s cars and had pink walls. I believe it provides a safe haven for those interested in covering their cars while staying there 🙂

Cycling off of Highway 44 onto Highway 4009 was a great choice as it offered all sorts of interesting little towns along the way. A few km’s into it; we saw this water hole with a bunch of people in there. I swam and the water was nice and cold; there were not any tourists there but we highly recommend this spot if you are travelling East to West along 44.

In another 20 km’s this awesome Buddhist temple built inside this cave in the mountain appeared and offered a great water break. The food in the small towns here was delicious; we had sushi, fried chicken and iced coffee in this little street vendor area.

The last 20 km’s were dark and wet until we got into Ao Loek Tai in the Krabi province  and checked into this cool hotel next the cliffs. I’m sure the view in the morning will be amazing.
