Thailand day 5 – Phetchabouri to Hua Hin

Day 5 – 4th October 2018

Phetchabouri to Hua Hin

Great to get the bikes and commence the journey; we went south on highway 4 then took at a turn onto highway 4028. Highway 4028 was a great flat ride along the coast line; in which we did 40 kms before stopping for lunch by this beach restaurant at Cha-am district. Cha-am seem to be a beach escape for big city Thai residents. There are lots of places to eat and drink along this route and it’s also very scenic.

The different landscapes had lots of hills at a distance, cattle fields, Buddhist temples, fishing villages and Seas Slat farming fields.

This highway also provides lots of sleeping options in the event it’s required. Eventually to head south we needed to hop back onto highway 4 which was a lot less crowded and easy to ride through in these southern sections.

We found a shooting range on the side of the road in which it was very tempting to try all sorts of guns; we however only stuck to 3 (a riffle and two hand guns). That was lots of fun J the handguns had quite a kick-back…

When finally arriving into Hua Hin, after cycling 75 km; the town was crowded, lively and exciting to get there. We got a room at Victor, this quiet place along the beach road. Hua Hin appeared to be a home for many expats living and spending months there at a time. We enjoyed a seafood meal along with a massage before early bed.

Tomorrow is showing a projection of a rainy day – all day. We will see how we will fair in dodging the rain ….
