Day 3 – 2nd October 2018
Bangkok
Finished the assembly of the bikes today, installed the bicycle lights and ready to go tomorrow to Phetchabouri. We stored the 2 boxes (bike boxes) and one bag at the hotel for our return and got everything we needed in the panniers.
At the bike shop today, one of the mechanics had lots of advice for us with regards to the side roads along the way. He suggested we stick to the western coast, especially for the second half of the trip. We also discussed with him the rain issue and how to best plan to avoid it as much as possible.
We had some great noodles today and some amazing fried chicken at this stall down the street. We are staying in this area with lots of businesses and it’s thus full of food vendors everywhere all day long.
We met this guy in the evening that became a Liverpool fan this past year while watching Mohammad Salah play – another fair-weather Liverpool fan like the rest of us! Didn’t think folks from outside Egypt would go that far… Go Salah !!!
